Hercules Pappas has been practicing law in the tri-state area of PA, NJ, and NY since the late ’90s. He is a talented lawyer who has built up an impressive career over the past 20 years.
Hercules started his career journey when he began his education at the East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from 1993 with a bachelor’s degree and two majors, one in economics and one in politics. His love of the topics pushed him to follow up with law school. He joined the Widener University School of Law in order to obtain his Juris Doctorate. This school served to provide Pappas with a foundation of legal knowledge that would help him for years to come. He found a particular interest in criminal defense and courtroom defense, though his talent lay in business law and legal writing.
While completing his law degree, Hercules Pappas began working at two different law firms where he worked as a Law Clerk. He eventually began working as an Associate Attorney at both of these firms as well. Hercules was able to assist attorneys in all phases and all areas of civil litigation. He was even able to act as the lead associate attorney, where he worked on complex litigation and mediation matters in state and federal courts.
After spending a few years as a Law Clerk and Associate Attorney, Hercules Pappas established Pappas & Richardson with his good friend Jay Richardson. This law firm formed the foundation of Hercules’ career in the legal field. The two lawyers worked together regularly and earned numerous case wins and filled their portfolios with a respectable number of clients. For more than a decade, Hercules executed daily business operations responsibilities as well as litigation.
He then went on to co-own and work at another firm, Pappas & Wolf, in 2009. At this firm, Hercules worked in litigation and mediation with a focus on business litigation, criminal defense, education law, employment law, family law, and military law. In the same year he began this firm, Hercules Pappas felt a tug to try his hand at prosecution. He served as a municipal prosecutor with the Waterford Township for two years. During this time, he found a rewarding amount of work as he performed criminal prosecution. He was tasked with research, appeals, and courtroom arguing. He spent one year handling all prosecutorial duties as necessary for this busy municipal court.
In 2012, Hercules Pappas formed Hercules Law Group, LLC. This was once again the result of partnering with Richardson, who always brought the best out of Hercules. The practice handles general litigation, criminal defense, and business law. This wide array of practice matches Pappas and Richardson’s own diverse backgrounds of practice. Some of the daily responsibilities of Hercules include managing employees and operations of the law firm, managing more than 100 files, and ensuring that he maintains his impressive success rate in court.
When not working, Hercules enjoys working with his hands while performing home renovations. He is married and has two children who are now beginning their own adult lives.
